Perhaps thats why the delay. You are being asked to look deeper in yourself to truly unleash what it is that is holding you back. Whatever it is you are askiny for, if you were to receive it right now, are you fully equipped to embrace it?
I am not referring to the physical or materialistic preparation. If you are looking for a job, I am not asking if you have the proper skills, if you are looking to get married, I am not asking if you know the secrets to be a perfect spouse, if you are looking to be a parent, I am not asking if you know how to be the best one. You know all of that and what to do. You can find that knowledge anywhere or from anyone.
What I am asking is are you ready and prepared within yourself? Have you cleared away all the shackles that scarred you? Are you completely aware of the myriads of ways your subconcious might have been harboring inhibitions, and if you do, what are you doing to erase them completely?
Receiving the much awaited break, the much awaited joy requires a different form of strength. One that you need to teach yourself. A strength of heart, a strength of faith, a strength of gratitude.
As they say, there is always more to it than meets the eye.
If they can’t see what you see, if they fail to understand your beliefs towards your goals, if they cant see you for who you truly are, its okay.
He will show YOU, and YOU will recognise them. He never said they will.
Perhaps they havent seen any better ergo don’t know any better. Perhaps Allah has chosen you with this grandeur of “living your own tale and leaving your own legacy” so through you others get to know it all a little better. Know Him a little better. Know His Serendipities a little better.
Someone very dear to me once said, ” When we are no longer able to change the world around us, we are forced to change what is in ourselves.” Those words never left me. And now I know why.
You were created for greatness. Don’t sell yourself short. Perhaps you are the missing piece which will change forever the way the universe presumed Serendpities. Perhaps it is through you that not only the world but the even stars and galaxies will witness that Serendipities Are A Divine Orchestra Of Perfectly Crafted Symphonies. Perhaps it is through you that He will change forever the way we love, we dream and we believe. Perhaps it is through you the world will once again live…laugh…
And most importantly, Love ❤…
Perhaps it is through you that the world will witness once again The Perfection Of Allah. Perhaps through you the creations in their entirety will humble themselves before Him at the sheer awe at which He has crafted the nuances. Yes, all of the creations- not only the cosmos but the angels and the heavens, in adulation of Him. Through you.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “Make things easy for the people, and do not make it difficult for them…”(Bukhari).
Once a non muslim came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said that he was willing to embrace Islam but he could only pray twice a day, instead of five. Our Prophet (peace be upon him) agreed and the man took shahadah. Once he was gone, his companions asked the Prophet (peace be upon him) why he allowed him so. He (peace be upon him) said once the man would enjoy the sweetness of prayer, he himself would willingly pray all five.
Often while trying to help people to come closer to Islam, especially new muslims or those who are trying to just take step through the door, we overwhelm them by introducing a bunch of instructions they might not be ready to undertake at that point of time. Our job is to help them do what they can and make things easy. As far as ensuring their guidance is concerned, Allah already made it clear that He provides guidance. He is Al-Hadi (The One Who Guides).
We just need to be companions. Often times we make Islam harder than it actually is, and portray Allah to be more strict than He really is.
The companions of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) did not change their names when they accepted Islam.Eventually their names became “Islamic”-for eg Umar, Abu Suffiyan etc. Their names were just Arabic, not Islamic per se.
Our names are not testimonies to our faith, nor do they make us any less Muslims. Names are our identities, no one should have to be ripped off off their identities.
Stories in the Quran are not mere stories. They are real life incidents that have happened. The people are not just characters. They are human beings, with emotions and weaknesses like you and me.
Imagine being in the shoes of Musa’s mother, right after she went through the trauma of throwing her newborn in the deadly Nile, amidst crocs and gators passing by.Did she have any support? Could she have gone to anyone and talk about what she did? Would anyone believe her if she said that Allah inspired her to throw her baby?Afterall she was not a prophet. She was just an everyday believer like you and me.She had no one to counsel her,to tell her she was right. She even doubted her decision and was about to run after her baby. But then the soldiers would find him and kill him.
So Allah intervened and gave her every support that she needed. From giving her the firmness of heart to the ability to plan logically as to what to do next-everything was orchestrated by Him. Against every self-doubt and logic, she blindly held onto Allah-knowing that even if her logic and rationality fails, as long as she would cling on to Allah,He would look after everything for her.Allah became every support, every help, every means she would have needed to survive that challenging moment of her life.
So We restored him to his mother that she might be content and not grieve and that she would know that the promise of Allah is true. But most of the people do not know. (Quran 28:13)
When you feel there is no one who understands you, chances are you are right, because Allah already says that most people would not know about His promise. When others think that your decision to hold onto your faith is absurd, when you yourself do not know how to explain your faith, then understand that it is a legacy of this great woman Allah has bestowed you with. Allah does not describe her as anything other than a “Mumin”-a true believer. So follow her footsteps and let Allah be your support.Allow Him guide you through the gators of life, and be of the few to witness the truth of His promise.
Sometimes its okay if you are the lone soldier in your fight.
