Most new Muslims feel somewhat overwhelmed after reverting to Islam. The changes, the rules and sometimes the over enthusiasm of those around turns out be intimidating. So I am going to share some information and resources which might be helpful for you in order to get started, hopefully in a less overwhelming manner. Because there are plenty of resources online to help you learn, I will not be running the same circles here. I will share my own reflections and thoughts on various verses from the Quran and teachings of our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and the lessons that might benefit you in your everyday life .
Mostly though, I will share a lot of my personal, every reflections and lessons on life and loss, love and heartache, joy and struggle. Muses on hope and prayers (dua), faith and success. This is a place for the ordinary ones, like you and me, where we stop by for some peace, in between the chaos of life, to breath and hopefully gain something worthwhile in the process. So while you are on your own journey of discovering Islam, I will simply try to lend a hand.I am no scholar or preacher, but just an extremely average Muslim like you. I struggle like you, go through ups and downs like you, make mistakes and fail just like you. I am also learning, just like you. And while on board, I am trying to discover myself, just like you.
Regardless of your age or ethnicity, I am on board with you.
ps: If I can be of any assistance on your new journey, please reach out to me. I will try to help you as best as I can.
